In order to further promote the development of youth football career and enhance the youth football level in China, CFA together with the National Youth Campus Football Work Leading Group Office first initiated the regional home and away competition system ‘Youth Super League’ in 2017, which was on weekends. In this year, the League will be upgraded comprehensively, whose age groups will be increased to 5 from 3, participating teams will be increased to 274 from 87, and scale will be increased to more than 2,700 matches from 564. For the age group U13-U17, it will be divided regionally into such six divisions as the Northeast, North China, East China, Central China, and West; for the age group U19, it will be composed of 32 CSL teams and CFA China League teams, 1 CFA Division Two League team, 2 school football teams, and 1 amateur football team, which will be classified into Group A and Group B for respective home and away matches nationwide.

       With quality guarantee as the premise, increase of players’ competition level, comprehensive quality, and capacity of adapting to professional leagues as the goal, development demands of players at different ages as the basis, and implementation of home and away match system as the guidance, it is aimed at building the league in a scientific and rational way, further enhancing the number of quality events for professional clubs, associations at the provincial and municipal level, amateur clubs, and school football teams, satisfying demands of youth football players towards competition level increase, and providing more opportunities for players with potentials and bright future to show themselves.

       In accordance with the current schedule, from April to August of this year, Dalian Sports Center will undertake most of the U13-U17 games in the Northeast Division of the League, and home matches of U19 Dalian Yifang and Dalian Transcendence Football Clubs, totaling up to approximately 110 matches. In the meantime, the Sports Center will provide catering, accommodation and training guarantee services for some visiting teams. Assisting football associations to well organize League matches for each age group is a vital task of the Sports Center this year. Organization of the League is of great significance to the enhancement of football culture, football concepts and football environment in the city.

       From this year, CFA has made overall arrangements to the events at all levels for teenagers all across the country. Besides the ‘Youth Super League’, CFA will organize the ‘Championship’ at the beginning of each year, CFA Cup during the League, and ‘Champions Cup’ at the end of each year.
